Gentoo is an intriguing operating system; however, it comes with its share of challenges. The manual nature of certain tasks, such as crafting a make.conf file, and the time-consuming nature of package installations—even when using binaries—can be somewhat daunting. While binaries do expedite the process, a significant portion still requires manual compilation, making it quite time-intensive. Despite these drawbacks, I haven’t actively used Gentoo for an extended period. Upon revisiting it recently, I found it functional, appreciating the hands-on installation process and acknowledging the excellence of Gentoo’s documentation.

Some thoughts I used a software (name does not important) to access/upload/download files from/to AWS Glacier. The main reason why - was my laziness. I did not want to read documentation and understand how it works. For a while I did not have any issues, however with last update I could not get results of get inventory command. This changed my way on how to access to AWS Glacier. Glacier is good for cold backups, when you don’t need to touch them often.
