Reads easily, intriguingly. Three brothers and a foolish father. The brothers are very different. Alexey and the elder Zosima are the most positive and luminous characters in the book. There are many valuable quotes; much is worth rereading. The story is tragic and, at the same time, bright. The narrative has an open ending; of course, knowing the author, it’s not certain that everything will turn out well. But there is hope. In general, after reading this book, I felt a sense of hope. It’s regrettable for Dmitry and Ilyusha.
