A poignant and concise tale of life and death, of subjectivity. The protagonist loses his mother and decides to make a film about her, capturing all the events of her final journey. This setup, perhaps the most crucial, will likely unfold closer to the story’s end. Spoilers are futile.

Each of us fails to see the real world; we are all surrounded by our own misconceptions and subjective perceptions.

There’s a certain peculiarity to this manga, but it only enhances its appeal.

By the way, with the right team behind it, this story could vie for an Oscar if adapted to the screen.
